DCL actuators use self-designed motors that is non-ventilated and full enclosed with high start torque. VC motors are squirrel-cage asynchronous induction motor. DC motors are permanent magnet brush motor. All motors from suppliers must be type tested by DCL to confirm every specification, such as the power, voltage-current curve, speed-torque curve and especially the temperature rise during heavy duty applications. Due to the very compact size of actuator, the temperature rise of motor must be low, to make sure the outer shell’s temperature will not go beyond 135℃ or 300.6F.

All actuators have got CSA certifications/ATEX certifications and IECEx certificates.

• ExdIICT4 grade for ATEX and Class 1 Zone 1, Group C, D T4 grade for Class 1 Division 1
• Watertight and whether proof IP68 and NEMA 4X high pressure die cast aluminum alloy enclosure
• S2 short-time duty for on-off type with duty cycle 70% and 15mins non-stop operation
• S4 intermittent duty for modulating type with duty cycle 70% and 1200 starts/hour
• All metal gears with self-locking bronze alloy worm gear
• Stainless steel visual valve position indicator with 10mm hard tempered glass
• Manual override for emergency issue
